What is Business Intelligence?
Business Intelligence, offered referred to as "BI", traditionally provided a summarised view of the most important information in your business and then allows users to drill into details. Modern BI also allows users to collaborate with each other, in real-time.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
That one is a doozy. The dictionary definition for Artificial Intelligence (AI) would be something like "the capability of a computer to imitate intelligent human behavior". People have been talking about AI for decades but it is just now going main stream.
What is FileMaker?
FileMaker is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple - they offer a FREE database app for iOS and allow non-programmers to build business apps for iOS (native & web), Android (web only), Mac (native & web) & PC (native & web). Oh yeah - and I think they're totally awesome !!

What do you mean by "non-programmer"
No hate mail please - just politely disagree with me in the comments section.
When I say "non-programmer" I mean someone who likes technology but haven't moved much beyond Excel.
To be more specific here are my groupings (tip of the hat to Alan for his great article).
Computer Scientist / Software Engineer = Great a math, building computers out of paper-clips, oh and getting your computer to work - no matter what the problem. Chit-chat often isn't "their thing" and their code works but it aint pretty!
Programmer = Their code is pretty.
Developer = Communication and people skills are paramount - they build solutions to solve real-world problems. They might write a bit of code and they think it is pretty (but just between you and me ... it isn't).
Excel User = Likes technology but likes people and business processes just as much.

What is "Washed Data"?
If you would like us to create a Proof Of Concept but you don't want us to see how much money you're making (which is fair enough) then you can simply "wash" the data. This is a simple process where you open your data in excel and use a random number function to change the "real" data into "fake" data. It makes no difference to us, we are only interested in the data format.
Similarly, if it is easy for you, a sample file that looks like your data will do the trick nicely too. However the benefit of washed data over sample data is that the format of manually created sample data is sometimes slightly different to the real data. So when it comes time to swap in the live data - you may hit problems with conflicts in your data format.
